Description of the meeting

The Polish school hosted 13 teachers from 5 partner schools.

In the integration part, a meeting at the school was held: presentation of the project group, staff and educational offer T15, visiting the school, presentation of the project and activities in the field of regional education at school, as well as the effects of students' work on the project. The partners presented their schools, their educational offer and the city.

The coordinator presented the "Katowice Regional Education Program" implemented in secondary schools in Katowice for 3 years. It was created thanks to the involvement of the employees of the Department of Education and Sport and the Mayor of Katowice.

Re Project

Activities aimed at discovering the region included: thematic trips, talks with guides, meetings with experts.

We visited:
the center of Katowice, the Culture Zone with the Silesian Museum, the historic mining district of Nikiszowiec, the historic adit "Królowa Luiza" in Zabrze, the palace park with a bison farm and the market square in Pszczyna, Kapias Gardens in Goczałkowice, Szyndzielnia in the Beskids.
The Polish team also showed our guests the National Park in Ojców with visiting the Pieskowa Skała Castle.

As part of learning about the customs of Silesia, we participated in a typical Silesian dinner.

A meeting organized by the Department of Education and Sport of Katowice took place at the Katowice City Hall in Willa Goldsteinów. The head of the Department of Education presented the regional education program "Heart of the Metropolis. Katowice - my place on Earth", the most important aspects of teaching this subject in Katowice schools, the characteristics of the city of Katowice as a place of modernization and transformation.

The 5-day training was attended by: staff and students of T15, parents of students, representatives of the "Południe" Municipal Cultural Center, educational authorities in Katowice.

During the project meeting of teachers, we established the rules for the next mobility in Croatia as the exchange of students and teachers, schedule and division of tasks in the coming months, we evaluated the meeting and planned the next results of the project. The students presented the initial chapter of the eBook "Interesting places in the region of Silesia".

The training in Poland was to integrate the project group, strengthen the partnership of schools, and exchange good practices in the field of regional education.

The classes were correlated with the following subjects: regional education, culture, Polish, English, ecology, art, geography, history.
